FULL-TIME MEDICAL AND SURGICAL TEAMS
Our full-time medical and surgical teams carry out diagnostic exploration, interventional cardiology, anaesthesia, post-operative intensive care and thoracic and cardio-vascular surgery, on a 24-hour a day, 365-days a year basis.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERTISE
External specialists are frequently welcomed to the Centre, to meet specific needs of patients.
DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT
From ante-natal diagnosis to treatment of pathologies at a very advanced age, all cases of thoracic and cardio-vascular pathologies are treated.
MEDICAL TECHNIQUES
During your treatment, you have the benefit of proven medico-surgical techniques and the latest progress in medical treatment.
SOMATOM DEFINITION FLASH SCANNER
This third generation scanner is extremely fast and represents considerable progress in the field of thoracic and cardio-vascular imaging.
With 128 sections, double radiation source and dual energy features, the images are obtained in a fraction of a second, with minimal radiation exposure for the patient.
CARDIAC MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (M.R.I.)
M.R.I. examinations involve no radiation exposure and enable the heart to be observed in movement.
Equipment: Siemens Sonata 1.5 Tesla
HYBRID ANGIO-SURGICAL UNIT
A cardio-vascular operating theatre with a configuration that is ideally adapted to all interventional cardiology requirements. It is used in particular for what are known as hybrid techniques: endoprotheses, percutaneous valves…
Equipment: Siemens Artis Zee, with wide-angle 30 x 40 captor
TWO ANGIOGRAPHY ROOMS
As well as the angiography theatre, a second room, equipped with an Artis Zee 20 x 20 angioscope is particularly suitable for standard coronary radiography and coronary angioplasty. Both rooms are equipped with the latest technological developments from Siemens.
TWO SURGICAL OPERATING THEATRES
The walls, lined in stainless steel panels and the antistatic floor, free from any permanently fixed equipment, enable a full bio-cleaning after each operation. Some 850 operations (paediatric surgery, by-pass surgery, valvular replacements, left ventricular rebuilding…) are carried out in this theatre each year.
IMMEDIATE POST-OPERATIVE RECOVERY AND INTENSIVE CARE
Each bed is entirely autonomous, both in terms of personnel (one nurse, night and day, for each patient under care) and equipment (respirator, monitoring, lighting, technical assistance, drugs and medication).
DAY CARE
The day-care facility, which is positioned adjacent to the M.R.I. facility, the scanner and to the trial-under-effort room, consists of three extensively-equipped units for intensive cardiological care, together with several monitoring units.
ULTRASOUND SCANNING
3D ultrasound scanning provides vital information, before, during and after treatment. The latest scanners provide, in particular, ante-natal diagnosis and the organisation of early care in cases of congenital malformation.
HOSPITALISATION
The Centre Cardio-Thoracique de Monaco offers a feeling of space and comfort within premises specifically designed for effective medical treatment.
IN EXCEPTIONAL SURROUNDINGS
All patient rooms have large bay windows with views over the Port of Monaco, the famous Rock or gardens.
AN INTERNATIONAL VOCATION
The Centre Cardio-Thoracique de Monaco welcomes patients from Europe and the Mediterranean Basin. Its remarkable location, in the heart of the Principality and the French Riviera, make it accessible to patients of all origins.
A PERSONALISED WELCOME
Staff members speak French, English, Italian, German, Dutch and Arabic. External interpreters provide a full service in other languages. A “Welcome Department” is on hand to give help and information that ensures arrival and departure are worry-free and that your stay at the Centre is agreeable.
AIRPORT TRANSFER
25 km from the Centre Cardio-Thoracique, Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport serves most major international cities. Patients can be met on arrival at the airport and accompanied to the Centre in ambulance, helicopter or taxi.
CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
The decor is inspired by the work of contemporary designers: Frank Lloyd Wright, Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Charles Renne MacIntosh and Marcel Breuer.
All rooms have the same levels of secure care and comfort and each bed-head is fully equipped from a medical point of view.
‘COMFORT’ HOSPITALISATION –
Hospitalisation in comfortable 2-bed rooms is covered by public health insurance and by the majority of private schemes.
The rooms are all fully equipped medically and telemetry systems provide for continuous monitoring of patients.
PARENT-CHILD ARRANGEMENTS
One parent can stay in the room with his or her child under 8 years of age. During any period the child may spend in the immediate post-operative and intensive care unit, other accommodation solutions can be suggested to the parent.
PRIVATE CARE
A range of hospitalisation solutions can be offered, subject to availability, including suites or private rooms with a second bed for a relative or companion.
NURSING STAFF
Their specialised technical training in cardiology and their numbers – one nurse for each patient during the assisted respiration phase of post-op recovery and intensive care and 2 to 3 nurses on each hospitalisation floor – mean that they can ensure nursing care, hygiene and comfort in complete patient security and be attentive to your needs night and day.
CATERING
You will enjoy our healthy and tasty cuisine, all prepared on the premises.
Our nutritionists are there to advise you according to your tastes and possible dietary requirements.
