Imaging in cardiology and A.I. – 35th International Day of the Cardio-Thoracic Centre

On Friday 8th November 2024, the 35th International Day of the Monaco Cardio-Thoracic Centre was held in the Salle Eiffel at the Hôtel Hermitage.

The use and contribution of artificial intelligence in cardiology is progressing rapidly. European experts took stock of the use of A.I. today in the treatment of cardiovascular pathologies, particularly in imaging, which is essential in interventional cardiology and cardiac and vascular surgery.

The benefits of using A.I., its contribution to diagnosis and treatment, its most promising applications, its potential impact on the training of cardiologists, but also its current limitations, were the highlights of this International Day.

It was a meeting of excellence that reflected the image of the CCM, whose reputation has been built on its medical and surgical expertise for over 35 years.

AS Monaco Rugby: season kick-off at the CCM!

On September the 18th, all the professionals, partners, volunteers and staff of the AS Monaco Rugby gathered at Monaco’s Cardio-Thoracic Centre for the launch of the Fédéral 2 season. During this very friendly event, the players gathered for the official 2024/2025 photo.

Mr Guy Nervo, the CCM’s CEO, pointed out that this event not only sealed the Centre’s partnership with the AS Monaco Rugby for more than 10 years, but also federated their shared values: collective commitment, team spirit, cohesion, complementarity, solidarity, respect and performance. As a symbol of this collaboration, Mr Thomas Riqué, President of the AS Monaco Rugby, presented Mr Guy Nervo with an old team jersey.

All the CCM staff wish the AS Monaco Rugby teams every success for the 2024/2025 season, with their main objective being to move up to the Fédéral 1.

CCM takes part in the 9th Multi Level CTO Course

The CCM was selected to perform live cases at the 9th Multi Level CTO Course held in Nice from 27 to 29 June.

During the 3 days of this international congress, dedicated exclusively to the treatment of chronic total coronary occlusions, 4 live cases were performed at the CCM, enabling interventional cardiologists to follow real cases of increasing complexity live. They were performed by the Centre’s team of interventional cardiologists, accompanied by guest practitioners.

The treatment of CTO by recanalization of chronic total coronary occlusions has become a must-have procedure, a specificity of interventional cardiology that is booming and constantly evolving. Mastering CTO techniques is now essential for managing complex coronary patients.

Yakuba Ouattara visits Monaco’s Cardio-Thoracic Centre

Roca Team captain Yakuba Ouattara has always been committed to helping sick and underprivileged children, and for the past 3 years he has been the patron of the No Finish Line, Monaco’s biggest charity race.

He came to see 7-year-old Aziz, who was operated on by the paediatric cardio team at Monaco’s Cardio-Thoracic Centre, which is very involved in humanitarian work since its creation. This little Ivorian suffered from a serious heart defect that could not be treated in his country of origin.

The operation was made possible thanks to the involvement and generosity of Children & Future, the Department of International Cooperation, the MCH, the Monegasque Red Cross, Aviation sans Frontières and Aziz’s host families.

Giving a second life to sick children from developing countries is a strong commitment from the Principality and one that mobilises this sportsman with a big heart!

How can we help you?
